STUDENTS PLACE IN WV YOUNG WRITERS CONTEST

Four Bishop Donahue High School students won awards in the recent Marshall County Young Writers contest.  The program began in 1984 and is funded by the WV Department of Education. The program showcases and honors student writers in every county.

Junior Chelsea Mills placed 1st in the 11th-12th grade division and will compete in the State Young Writers competition in Charleston later this year.  Junior Sara Carpenter placed 2nd in the 11th-12th grade division.

Freshman Catherine Breault place 2nd in the 9th-10th grade division and Sophomore Briana Breault took 3rd place.
