Steve Larmer #28

Steve Larmer was born on June 16, 1961, in Peterborough, Ontario. He played junior hockey in Niagara Falls, Ontario. He was Chicago's 11th choice (120th overall) in the 1980 entry draft. Larmer played right-wing for the Blackhawks from 1980 to 1993. The two time all-star is best known for his hard work on both ends of the ice. Steve holds the current Blackhawks record for most points in a season by a rookie with 90. That year he had 43 goals and 47 assists. In May of 1993, Larmer asked to be traded. He was traded to the Hartford Whalers on November 2, 1993. The Whalers subsequently traded him to the New York Rangers where he was reunited with former Blackhawks coach Mike Keenan. Larmer helped the Rangers win the Stanley Cup in 1994. Larmer is third among NHL players in consecutive games played with 884. Today, Steve is taking business classes at Sir Sandford Fleming College in Peterborough, Ontario.
