January 14, 2000 Reporters Cammi Granato *** Rich Storm Volume VI Issue 2

Friday 1/7/2000

The Ghost was accused of cheating when he put on glasses for the first time.  I guess he got tired of goal tending with the Braille method.  The cheaters didn't work, Rich Storm spoiled his shut out on his first shift, with the first goal of the Millennium.  Papa Joe walked in and scored the first meaningful goal of the Millennium.  Fruit cake tied the score for a while, but Beer Nuts scored the game winner in the third period. Stump picked up the win as Eddie was locked up in Mayberry.

Brinks Report

Brinks wants everyone to know he is doing fine and will be back on skates ASAP!!!  (He is on the 30 to 60 day disabled list as of now, doctors orders!)
He will be in the hospital for about 3 to 6 days and then at home taking it easy for a while.  I am sure he wouldn't mind a few calls when he gets home but as of now, he is pretty tired.  I will try and keep you updated on his progress. He did give me a few orders to pass on to all the Duffers.  He said to keep his spot in the line up open because he has a lot of good hockey left to play.  He also  threatened to stop bringing Stroh's if anyone gets the crazy idea of taking his name plate down from above his spot in the locker room.  Hope all is doing well with the Duffers and Happy New Year.
