Rich Storm Volume VI Issue 3
Friday 1/14/2000
Rich Storm continued his hot scoring last week
when he added a hat trick to his 2 goal per game (New Millennium) average.
Hitman had the only meaningful goal of the game to give the Home team a
1-0 win. The Duffer News Doesn’t usually give ink
to meaningless scoring, but this game featured some strange goals that
merit recognition.
Johnny Z fired a pass from the corner to “Butt
Head” who started spinning like Beer commercial star, Rusty Robert.
You know that steel hockey player that knocks out Tony the plastic player
with his shot, then call him a punk. Well Morgan did the same thing,
he spun around and the puck flew off of his stick past the Ghost for a
goal for the Blues. The best goal of the night tied the game at 7-7
and gave Rich Storm his hat trick. Mike waited until Stump shifted
his weight on his bad hip, then he fired a shot, make that launched a shot
the Tweedy described as an illegal pitch in softball, that fluttered into
the lower right corner of the net for the game tying goal.
