Rich Storm Volume VI Issue 7
Friday 2/11/2000
One of the best games of the season was decided in a rare
sudden death finish. Eddie the Annville and Gary the Ghost put on
their best performance of the year. The Blues gave Eddie an early
lead on goals by Tommy Z and Berserk. Eddie had his shut out
spoiled for the second straight week when the Whites reminded him of the
perfect game. 30 seconds after the reminder, Zamboni Mazz scored
a semi-meaningful goal that was set up by birthday boy, Papa Joe.
Rich Storm (I think it was him, he poured me a beer) scored to give the
Blues a 3-1 lead. The Whites got a goal from Joe (Floyd, a guest
of Cough an Hour) when he sailed a shot past Eddie from the point after
Eddie just made spectacular saves on Beak and Boris. Tweedy tied
the game late in the third to send it into over time. Tweedy won
it in OT with a beautiful goal that fooled Eddie. The Annville
was expecting a pass to one of the 2 meaningful trailers, but Beak and
Boris were tired of making Eddie look great, so they told Tweedy to shoot
and end it.
Things I heard on the Coconut
Telegraph
Former Blackhawk, Ken Hodge, who scored 50 goals for Boston
in 1974 and finished his NHL career with 328 goals and 800 points may
join us on the ice Saturday, March 4 in Peoria, according to his son Dan.
Let us know if you are going, so we can put in our order for Peoria goalies
and skaters.
That shut out talk really works! Duffer GOD Jeff
Lopatka’s mite team was being shut out 3-0 on Saturday, when Beak told
his son Ken about the jinx. Jeff spoiled the shut out 10 seconds
later and added a hat trick to lift his team to a tie.
