Vocations to Catholic Priesthood

Vocations in General

Diocesan and Religious Priests (This page connects you to information about Jesuits, Dominicans and other orders, as well as Maryknoll.)

A fast growing religious order. The growth of this order and others shows that young men of this country are being called to the priesthood and are responding. Certain dioceses in this country are also experiencing a resurgence of priestly vocations.

The Archdiocese of Seattle has also seen some encouraging signs. At present we have almost thirty young men in formation and, God willing, will ordain three in 1998.* Part of this response is because of Archbishop Murphy's dedication to vocations. Please read the story of one of our young priests "My Journey Towards Priesthood" by Fr. Jim Northrop.

If you are in Western Washington, send me an e-mail. Or call Fr. Timothy Sauer or Mr. Rich Shively, 206-382-4595 at our Office of Vocations.
