I also have said "see you later" to a spouse of many years. Gordon Transended on April 19/97 very suddenly of a heart attack. We had been married for 30 yrs. I also have two sons, both married to lovely girls. My daughter-in-laws have been a great source of comfort to me over the last two years. I have one grandson that I've only seen once, as he lives way out west in Alberta. Family is so important. I also liked your poems. My oldest daughter-in-law sent me your poem on eternal ink and that is how I came to your site. I will explore your links at a future time. I'm sure they are great. I certainly will go to the home fires one as my oldest son is in the Canadian Army and has had two tours of duty with NATO. I loved the pictures you had of your flowers. I'm wondering how long it took you to learn how to perfect these pages with all the neat graphics. You must have business in the computer world. Praise God that your wonderful wife had those years with her grandaughter, her influence will never be forgotton. I am beginning to see the fruits sown many years ago in my oldest grandaugher who is 24. I still remember a time when I thought she was not listening or paying attention to me, but we are assured in His word, that we are to be the example by sowing good seeds and God will send those to do the watering and His spirit will do the rest. Your flowers are wonderful, you must tell me if they were photographed with a digital camera or if you just have a terrific scanner, I can almost smell them. Handsome family, I too have had a wonderful marriage, 43 years this past April, and the man of my heart is just as dear and more loved today than in the beginning I believe, Love does grow. Thanks for having these pages, they were uplifting! A cyberfriend sent me a page today that had your page as one of her friendslinks. They appear similiar, so I suppose you helped her too. Good Job! I am 44, semi retired from a construction company I had, and now own a body shop. I love to fly, although I do not hold a license, and I enjoyed your plane pix and comments. The Citation is a fine aircraft. I flew in our local Medstar Citation II on a round trip to and from North Carolina with a patient a couple of years ago while working as a camp medic for the forest service during a firestorm season. Got to sit up front on the return (right side of course), what a blast! My brother-in-law is a flight instructor, so I get lots of time in a simulator, and considerable time in the air with him. I know the pain as I saw my 23 year old son, Adam Christian Greiner, so home to be with the Lord in the twinkling of an eye. He died in his sleep following a long day of work and he had Diabetes since the age of 9. It was a low blood sugar that the Lord decided to take him home perhaps before he would ever experience the long term effects of a chronic illness. He loved the Lord Jesus with all his heart and shared that Love with everyone he met. He has a web page but I it's not all finished, but I will send you what I have so far. |

Then I viewed the other sites, the beautiful poems, music etc. and then "The Sad Story", I cried. My husband's best friend was a Green Beret and his last name was Young and the person that wrote the Ballad of the Green Beret mentions Young and two others. Our friend is also talked about in his book. We grieved for years. He fought in Korea, was in Germany and then Vietnam and I think he knew his time was running out.
