If anyone has heard the name Maynard or Justice, associated with the name Slattery, probably from the Cork area of Ireland, I would be pleased to hear from you. I know at least one of the family went to Kettering Northants.

My search has been very frustrating. I have been trying to find how my Edward Slattery came to Australia. The only information that I can be sure of is the following: Edward Slattery married a Widow Margaret Considine nee Egan at Mudgee, NSW 26TH December
1865 at Mudgee, NSW, The priest being Callaghan McCarthy, Roman Catholic.
On Edwards death Certificate 12th November 1921 states that he was Age 85yrs, parents unknown, born Tipperary Ireland, About 66yrs in NSW, Married Margaret Consadine, Children of the marriage 'No Issue'. Here is where my quandry lies as John Slattery give
these two as his parents on his marriage certificate in 4th December 1902. I have been unable to find a Birth Registration or a Baptism for John.

Before that they came from killkenny in ireland. I know i also had a grand

before it emigrated to ireland. I also know what the slattery coat of arms

Hi everyone! I'm looking for my Slattery ancestors in Ireland. Here is my
lineage, what I know so far anyway: my parents: Steven Edward Slattery (b.
1952)married Mary Kay Boyd my grandparents: James (Pat) Edward Slattery (b.
1925) married Helen Marie Ahlrichs my g-grandparents: James Edward Slattery (b.
1888) married Catherine Teresa McNamara my g-g-grandparents: James William
Slattery (b. 1852 in Ohio) married Margaret Dineen (from Ireland) my
g-g-g-grandparents: William? Slattery (of Ireland) married Margaret Meehan (of
Ireland) When my Slattery ancestors came to the USA, I believe they came to London,
Ohio. They lived there up into the 1920's. Then the family branched out to
Cincinnati in 1915, South Charleston in the 1920's, and so on. This is all I
know so far. My ancestors are believed to be from Co. Tipperary near Cashel,
but I really, truly have nothing to go by or to substantiate that. Any help,
comments, or suggestions would be MUCH appreciated!

Nicely done site. My great grandmother was Ellen Slattery b. 20 Jan
1844-Shannon, Tipperary, Ireland (d/o William Slattery d. Seneca, Illinois?
& Margaret Ryan d. soon after Ellen's birth) Ellen is said to have had at
least one sister-Bridget Maria, who remained in Ireland & married James
Dauley (previously married w/8 children) and they had James, THomas, &
Robert. Ellen came to the US and married in 1865 John Weldon JR (s/o John
Weldon-Meath, Ireland & Bridget Meade-Drogheda,Meath, Ireland). Once
married lived in Grundy & Cook Co, Illinois. A Timothy Slattery married
John Weldon Jr's older sister Margaret. It is said he was Ellen' brother? If
any of the above sounds familiar to anyone, would love to hear from you.
