Some Like It Hot
(1959)
A hilarious movie set in the Roaring Twenties, about two musicians (Lemmon and Curtis), who have the misfortune to be playing in jazz band at gangster Spats Columbo's (Raft's) speakeasy when it is raided by cop Mulligan (O'Brien). Out of jobs, their luck turns even worse when they witness a murder by Spats' gangsters. To escape from the gangsters they dress up like women and join an all girls band heading for Miami. There they join up with band member Sugar Kane (Monroe) who has no idea that they are really men. A great classic comedy, well acted and well directed.
