Well, we have had a busy year again. Life’s like that when you are trying to keep up with all these kids.

Torri turned 10 in May and we had a quiet party here at the house with just family. She likes it that way since she doesn’t like to be the center of attention.  After visiting with her mom this summer, she brought home a Tokay Gecko that she named Sticky. She is very happy with him but she tends to have a hard time keeping his food alive, she’s working on it though. Torri decided to play the cello this year at school. It was rough to listen to her practice at first but she is doing wonderfully now, she is even working ahead in her lesson book. Torri is in fifth grade this year and continues to do well in school.

Meghan turned 7 in May; she had a party here at the house with lots of friends. Unlike Torri, Meghan absolutely loves to be the center of attention. We had a great time and she got lots of fun stuff. Meghan doesn’t have a pet of her own at this time, but she loves to torture our cat Scirocco. She still likes to play Barbies and dress-up and does so almost daily. She loves to antagonize all the other kids and keep everyone informed of everything that happens around here. My nickname for her is “The Informer”. Meghan is in second grade this year but she is as tall as most third graders! She is doing pretty good in school she just needs to learn to not talk so much and to stay focused but she has a problem with that in all aspects of her life.

Stephanie turned 14 in September and had her usual birthday bash here at the house with as many people as she could find. She also loves to be the center of attention and loves to be surrounded by as many friends as possible. Steph has been babysitting every now and then to save money for a car when she is old enough. It’s slow going but I’m sure she will get better about it as it gets closer to reality. She has already asked if it would be okay to start driver’s ed. this summer. Steph does the typical teen things with most of her free time like listening to music, watching TV and talking on the phone. She could have had her braces off this fall but she wasn’t very good about wearing her bands so now she will be getting them off in March. Steph is in 8th grade this year and she is having her best academic year so far. Her grades are awesome and she stays out of trouble for the most part. Let’s hope things continue this wa
