FRIENDS LINKS

I do not write poetry, tho I have seen many of my friends who have written the most lovely poems...so sitting here thinking I decided to try just once to make a small contribution of my own..

FRIENDSHIP

What does such a simple word as this mean to me...
I have made so many friends since I came online such a few months ago...
those months seem like a lifetime...
and now I treasure those precious people who have opened their hearts, their lives and given of their time...
to laugh, to listen and to be there when I thought I was alone...
I smile when I think of them...
I reach out and hold you all in my heart...

Some say these friendships are not real if you cannot see the friend...
but if friendship touches your heart, deep inside where your true self hides,
if these friends reach out and change your life... making happiness and love strong and real...
then these are REAL friends...

I thank GOD daily for such friends...
for you my friend...
distance may keep us apart,
but the soul knows no such distance...
as you are safely in my heart.

To all my dearest and most important friends, you know already who you are...
I need not remind you how much I love you...
How honoured I am that I can call you MY FRIEND.
