THE INVITATION

*Commander Spock,*

"I find your epistolary style different from your conversation, Khan." Spock eyed his host over his cup of herb tea.

"Writing is a luxury, Spock, it should be luxurious. How seldom I've had the time to compose an invitation. I chose to make the most of it."

*I have not failed to notice your superiority to everyone on this ship...*

"I do not deny I was surprised to receive your invitation. I would have refused but Captain Kirk advised me to accept. The Captain believes you are sincere in your wish to live benignly among humans again."

"Do you doubt my sincerity, Spock?"

"Yes."

*Except me.*

"Your opinion of me is colored by your own superiority to these humans. Yet you doubt me because I am not a Vulcan, not trained in the arts of logic and telepathy. You see before you a human, physically and mentally superior to those you live among, yet still human, and therefore, in your eyes, flawed by passion, love, greed, joy, fear, ecstasy. The very characteristics that make humans worthwhile. Do you disagree?"

"I find humans very worthwhile, Khan, it is the exceptions, like you, that concern me."

*Now wakened from my long slumber*

"I, Spock? Of course I would concern you, I haven't your strength, yet I could crush your Captain's head like an egg. I do not, he is my host, it would be rude. Even while conquering much of my homeworld I strove never to be rude. More tea?"

*I find myself among these inferior beings...*

"You see, Spock, one must live up to one's full potential or wither inside. I was genetically engineered to rule, to command, to dominate. I had no peers; I have none now." Khan rose to slowly pace the room. "Unlike you I am a creature of emotions, some you respect, some you despair of, human emotions of longing and tenderness. Unrequited, such emotions can be endured but take a toll on a man. In reviewing my own history, I have come to the conclusion that I conquered three quarters of the landmass of Earth not so much to stave off boredom, but trying to flee from loneliness." Khan ceased his pacing behind Spock's chair. "Can you understand this, Spock?"

"No."

"Why not?"

"I do not suffer from loneliness."

"That is why is why I must take you as my example, Spock, and reign in my baser instincts."

*Except you.*

Spock rose and turned to face Khan, who continued: "Would you deny my desire to live peacefully among these humans when all I require is a little kindness?"

"Your history lacks kindness, Khan."

"Your example has changed me, Spock. I merely wish to explore your superior wisdom." He smiled charmingly and moved a little closer. "You might gain some wisdom in this as well."

"Which would be?"

"Opening to another being. One not your equal but certainly closer than any other human you've ever encountered."

*None are my equal...*

"You admire these puny humans. Even I admire these puny creatures, they are so weak and helpless and yet they persevere, strive and are willing to die in the effort of attaining their hopes and desires. They're even willing to die for each other. Sacrifice, I'm told, is highly admirable, I find it stupid and illogical." Now quite close to Spock, Khan stared serenely into the Vulcan's eyes, determined to wait until his guest spoke, even if it took forever.

*And yet I am their guest...*

"What is it you want from me, Khan?" Spock asked after a space of silence.

"Companionship."

Spock waited.

"And sex."

*perhaps their captive...*

"Khan..."

"I need you. Let this be my first lesson in humanity, Spock, give in to my need so I might better understand how to bend and not break. By seeing you do it, I shall benefit greatly from your example."

*and therefore at their mercy.*

"And you would enjoy it."

"Sex is a luxury I do not indulge in."

"Because you have no equal, or near equal here, so it's logical that you don't have sex. I shall only be here a short while, you might indulge me... and yourself."

"I would not enjoy it as humans do."

"Why not?" Khan loomed closer.

"I'm only half human."

"Then my superhumanness will make our pleasure even."

*I seek you out..."*

Spock stripped beneath Khan's patient eye. Curiosity and lust had won in him, for the first time. But he could not have anticipated meeting Khan. He recalled Kirk's words, 'aid Khan in his transition to his new life, aid Khan in finding tolerance for weaker beings.' How else would Khan and his people survive? Or be allowed to survive?

Soft lips on his shoulder and powerful hands guided him to the bed. Could Kirk have conceived of this when he sent Spock on his errand to instruct Khan in mercy? Spock did not know; he suspected he would need some instruction himself very soon.

*as one close to my equal...*

"Never? That surprises me, however, you have been living among these human for most of your life." Khan hid his elation that Spock was a virgin. How touching, how charming, how nice that Kirk had not been there first, which is what the superman had been expecting. Ah!

*to advise me...*

Coaxing Spock's mouth open, Khan took possession of it. Aware of the Vulcan's superior strength, the human relied upon his superior experience and confidence to dominate his partner. Mere force would have been as futile as it was uncouth. Feeling Spock jump as his fingers brushed the Vulcan's anus, Khan reassuringly deepened the kiss and reached for the lubricant he'd so thoughtfully put by the bed earlier.

*on how I might live among these insects...*

Sliding his fingers into the extreme warmth of the Vulcan's body, Khan silently rejoiced that the seduction had gone so well. He recalled the words of an ancient human historian, that warfare was another means of diplomacy. He mused that seduction could be another means of both as he positioned Spock prone on the coverlet.

*without crushing them...*

Spock winced slightly as Khan pushed the head inside him.

"Open to me, Spock, teach me to trust," Khan leaned down to whisper.

*beneath my heel.*

It was almost overwhelming to feel the human's full length inside of him. Spock found his deeper calm disturbed by Khan's powerful, insistent thrusts.

*I wonder how you survive among them...*

Remembering Spock's pleasure, Kahn reached beneath the Vulcan to caress his cock. He found it rock hard and spread the moisture from the tip over the shaft to aid the friction of his strokes.

*with such seemingly effortless grace...*

Khan thrust all the way in and stopped to rest. It was too soon to come, for both of them. It was important to possess Spock as long as possible, so that when Kirk decided to take his first officer, Spock would know the difference in endurance between his two lovers.

*and serenity.*

'Spock's lover. Spock's first lover.' This thought made Khan's penis even harder inside the Vulcan and he began to rock his hips in a seductive rhythm again.

*I must take you as my example...*

Pounding up to his climax, Khan made sure Spock came first. The Vulcan's delightful clenching around his cock made his orgasm even more powerful.

*if I am to find any peace in my unexpected resurrection.*

Spent, laying on top of Spock, who was equally spent, Khan decided not much had changed since he's left earth.

*So I invite you to instruct me in my new life...*

Humans, even Vulcan fusion ones, were as easy to manipulate as ever.

*among these lesser creatures...*

And manipulation was a waste of time when force would do.

*you understand so well.*

It was well to manipulate Spock into his bed. A challenge really and the gods knew Khan loved a challenge.

*It is my hope...*

So it was well, Khan peacefully removed his spent penis and began to consider which of the other crew might interest him.

*that you will come to me tonight.*

Perhaps Kirk, he though sleepily.

*We might even play chess...*

Dozing, he hardly noticed Spock dressing beside the bed.

*If that would amuse you.*

Or leaving.

*Khan*
