I was an ET on the U.S.S. Talbot County, 1964 - 1967. Carmody was my CO. I greatly enjoyed the history. Brought back old memories. Remembered all the ports mentioned. Relived every minute. We also, some time landed equipment during a crisis in the Do
inican Republic. Date fuzzy, but did get a medal. (My only one) Thanks for taking the time to put this together.

I served on the TC from 11/69 until we decommissioned the TC in Orange Texas. I made two cruises to the Canal Zone prior to decommission.
In all, during my military service, I was on three ships. I was in "A Gang". Although the TC was a small ship, looking back, it was my favorite ship. It's unique to be part of only two steam driven LST's ever built. I'm sorry that the fate of the TC is unknown.
