Chandler

I have a Rottweiler & live in a rural area on LI, NY. One day when I was taking a shower-(I had the bedroom door closed to keep the air temp cool) it was summer and Chandler was in the bedroom with me (of course indulging in the A/C as she is always by my side) and quite fortunate for her, she lives a very pampered life.

While I was in the shower I heard all of this "to-do" outside on my deck and Chandler started to get all worked up. I go to the back sliding glass door and there is a woman putting a very confused looking Rottweiler up on my deck. (Of course there's a locking gate for my daughter & dog's safety to not run off without me.) I then call out to the woman about this very confused dog on my deck!

She says she knows we have a Rottweiler & saw her wandering down the road so she wanted to return her to me safely. Now of course my dog is by my side going nuts about this other Rott on my deck! I immediately thanked her for returning "MY" dog to me but explained that she wasn't mine & that I believed the confused dog she-- (1) put in her car, (2) drove to my house, and (3) locked on my deck belonged to the house on the next street.

We then returned the confused dog together and I couldn't thank her enough because if it had somehow been my Chandler-I would have been crazed to find her. I said good-bye and went directly to the phone to have flowers delivered to this lovely neighbor I never knew before, who had the guts to be brave & caring enough to "Deliver" my 108lb baby back to me.

(This is a true story) As you can see-some people do care and please remember not all big dogs are too mean to approach to give help to when they are in trouble!
