1. Steamroller - although recently I have only seen steam rollers on highway construction projects, the steam roller was the first construction machine to capture my heart and will always hold that special place in it.

2. Bulldozer - If you think about the word "bulldozer", it's just silly. I guess that's why I like it.

3. Crane - The connotation is that this machine is just gonna' fly away, but truth be known that this is a stationary and very reliable machine.

4. Jackhammer - Although not a vehicle like the steamroller or bulldozer, the jackhammer's size make it a very versatile and valuable piece of machinery.

5. Dumptruck - A big truck that can haul around tons of stuff and then "dumps" it. he he.
