slain by Taishakuten's men when I refused to reveal the whereabouts of
my beloved Yasha-ou and his adopted child, Ashura.
Ahhh...Yasha-ou. I fell in love with you at first sight, so long ago. You
were surprised that I would help two such dangerous fugitives as you and
Ashura but I had promised myself I that I will be with the one I love,
no
matter what happens.
My mother couldn't have the man she wanted so she settled for second
best. Her husband forced her to dance until she died of overwork. I
vowed to learn from her mistake...
How I would have loved to take care of you and Ashura! But it was not
to be. A generation ago the stargazer Kuyo prophesied that Ashura
would become "the fire that burns away all evil". That is why Taishakuten
wanted to kill him.
Perhaps I should have fled with the two of you but I wanted to fulfill
my
mother's last wish-for me to dance at the Rite of Stars. Only the best
