..... Corpus Christi also has a good Genealogy Room in their main Public Library downtown. I would recommend it to anyone doing family research.

..... I took a drive to Austin and visited the Texas State Archives. It was very nice & the folks were very helpful there also. They are located on the East side of the Capital Building. Their hours are from 8am-5pm Tuesday thru Saturday, located at 1201 Brazos St. Austin, TX 78711 ph.# (512) 463-5463,

.....(09/13/97) Three of us drove over to Austin yesterday & did some researching the State Archives. It was very fruitful for me, as I was able to move a "stump" out of my field... so to speak! Best Wishes researching...
