The Durango Owner's Club (DOC) is hosting an Owner's Rendezvous this fall in Durango, Colorado. Outdoor events such as hiking, mountain biking, touring Indian ruins, and of course off-roading will be planned each day, however most of the planned events run from October 6th through the 10th. The center-piece events will be a DOC BBQ on the shore of Havelind Lake on Friday night, and a "Big Day O'Fun" on Saturday the 9th (includes a 3.5 hour train ride, saloon lunch, gold mine tour, and short off-road jaunt to the top of the Continental Divide!). Durango, Colorado is located in Southwest Colorado near the four corners region. It is sandwhiched between the high desert plateaus to the south, and the 14,000 foot San Juan mountains to the north. Durango is a hot-bed for mountain biking enthusiasts, and also features over 700 miles of former mining roads that make for unparalleled off-road opportunities. The fall colors should be peaking at the time of our Rendezvous, the first full week of October. |
