High school quarterback who had scholarship offers to play college football, but elected to come to Georgia Tech to play baseball instead....Has good range and a strong arm....can play second base, third base or shortstop.

2008: Assigned to Class A Rome Braves (South Atlantic League) to begin first full season of professional baseball....went 10-for-15 with a home run and five RBI in four game series at Hickory 5/24-27....committed team-leading 27 errors while playing in 74 games at shortstop and 23 games at second base during season.

2007: Named to the 2007 All-ACC Academic Baseball Team....once again, Tech's starting shortstop....homered in back-to-back games 2/21 and 2/23....hit .354 during February including 10-game hitting streak to finish month....also hit .356 in March....drove in at least one run in seven straight games 3/3 to 3/16....compiled career-best 18-game hitting streak (30-for-71) from 3/23 to 4/22....streak of 113 consecutive games started came to an end after being hit in the face by a ground ball in the eighth inning of 5/5 game at South Florida....underwent successful facial surgery to repair fractures in his cheek and orbital bones 5/7 in Nashville and returned to action on 5/17 vs. Florida State....selected in the 6th Round (198th pick overall) of the June Draft by the Atlanta Braves....signed professional contract with $125,000 bonus 6/13....assigned to Danville Braves (Appalachian League)....belted tie-breaking two-run homer in second professional game 6/20 vs. Burlington....posted 13-game hitting streak 6/27 to 7/11....homered while driving in four runs 7/5 at Bristol....promoted to Class A Myrtle Beach 7/31 following the Mark Teixeira trade between Atlanta and Texas....named Braves' Minor League Player of the Month for July....hit safely in his first nine Carolina League games going 13-for-35 (.371) from 8/1 to 8/10....hit first Carolina League home run 8/28 vs. Frederick....went just 1-for-19 following home run to finish season....Member of the 2007 ACC Academic Honor Roll.

2006: Emerged as Tech's everyday shortstop while going on to start all 68 games....Hit .268 with 39 RBI on the season, and ended the year with a .333 average over the last 10 games....Had 15 multi-hit games during the season....Had a season-long eight-game hitting streak, in which he hit .452 with three doubles and nine RBI, snapped in the second game at Boston College....Named to the All-Regional team at the NCAA Atlanta Regional after hitting .385 (5-for-13) with a double and a grand slam....Had a career-high four RBI in win over Stetson in the opening game of Regional....Went 2-for-5 with a walk and a run in Tech's Super Regional win over College of Charleston (6/10)....spent summer with Brewster Whitecaps of the Cape Cod League.

2005: Primarily saw duty at second base behind veteran Mike Trapani....went 3-for-4 with four RBI in first collegiate start 2/19 vs. Iona....collected three hits, including first collegiate home run 3/6 at Duke....homered in following game 3/8 vs. William & Mary....was 2-for-5 with a stolen base and three RBI 3/13 vs. Wake Forest....season average stood at .462 following 3/18 game vs. NC State, but went just 3-for-24 while playing in only 14 of team's last 45 games....did not start after 4/16 and had no at-bats during post-season....played for Keene Swampbats of the New England Collegiate Baseball League during summer.
