Has a live arm and very good "stuff"....Uses an easy pitching motion, but has good velocity on his fastball....effective as a left-handed setup reliever over his first two seasons.

2008: Began season in extended Spring Training....returned to Danville for start of Appalachian League season....promoted to Class A Rome 8/16....released by Braves just prior to Christmas.

2007: Made 19 appearances in relief as a junior....struck out season-high four batters in 2-2/3 innings to pick up save 3/2 vs. Rutgers....not on the roster for Tech's final six games of the season including ACC Tournament....selected in 9th round (No. 288 overall) of June Draft by Atlanta Braves and signed professional contract 6/13....assigned to Danville Braves (Appalachian League)....struck out the only batter he faced to pick up his first professional win on 7/13 as Danville scored three runs in the bottom of the 10th inning to beat Greeneville 4-2....picked up his first professional save with four innings of shutout work 8/5 at Greeneville.

2006: Worked five shutout innings to gain the win in first collegiate start 2/19 vs. Kennesaw State....improved to 2-0 by allowing just one run on four hits while striking out five in a career-long seven innings against Rutgers 3/5....Picked up his third win of the season by pitching 5.2 innings in relief against fifth-ranked Clemson 4/15....allowing no runs on just one hit in NCAA Tournament four appearances....overall, held opponents scoreless in 12 of 22 appearances during the season....again pitched for Cotuit during summer.

2005: One of Tech's top lefties out of the pen....worked four innings to notch first save 3/8 vs. William & Mary....picked up first collegiate win in relief 3/27 at Miami....pitched for Cotuit Kettleers of Cape Cod League during summer.

High School: A four-year letter-winner at Kell High School for coach Dennis Jordan....Rated as the No. 9 prospect in Georgia and the No. 48 prospect in the country by Perfect Game USA....Posted an 8-0 record and a 1.13 ERA for the East Cobb Yankees summer team that won the 2003 Connie Mack World Series....Struck out 74 batters in 56 innings and allowed just 36 hits in 17 appearances....Earned all-county honors as a junior and senior....Struck out 110 batters in 70 innings as a junior.
