2006: First-team All-America selection at catcher by Baseball America....also second-team All-ACC catcher....NCAA Division I state co-player of the year selection by the Georgia Dugout Club....one of 30 semifinalists for the Brooks Wallace College Player of the Year Award....started every game and led team with 15 home runs and 71 RBI despite being walked 56 times....also led team with seven saves....collected new career-best seven RBI in game one of doubleheader 4/9 at Virginia Tech....named Most Outstanding Player of NCAA Atlanta Regional after batting .889 with three home runs and six RBI while reaching base in 14-of-15 plate appearances in three victories....also posted two saves during regional....went 2-for-5 with a home run and two runs scored in Tech's final game of the College World Series against Cal State Fullerton 6/18....Overall, hit .560 (14-for-25) with five homers, 10 RBI, 12 runs, nine walks, and one HBP in seven NCAA Tournament games....played for Orleans Cardinals of Cape Cod Baseball League during summer....selected as starting designated hitter for the East in the 44th annual Cape Cod League All-Star Game....winner of the Robert A. McNeece Outstanding Pro Prospect Award, voted on by the Major League scouts who cover the Cape Cod League....rated No. 3 among Cape Cod prospects by Baseball America....overall, finished second in the Cape Cod League in batting (.307), homers (eight) and on-base percentage (.417) while walking 23 times and striking out just 20 times.

2005: ACC Rookie of the Year as well as a first-team All-Conference selection as Utility Player/DH....first team Freshman All-America choice as DH by Baseball America....Shared time behind the plate with veteran Andy Hawranick along with seeing action as a designated hitter, reliever and first baseman....Did not allow an earned run over first six pitching appearances, including 3.2 innings of scoreless relief to get first win 3/1 vs. Georgia Southern....went 5-for-5 with a grand slam and a total of six RBI 3/6 at Duke....overall, went 12-for-14 with home run and nine RBI as well as nine straight hits in Duke series to gain ACC Player of the Week honors for 2/28 - 3/6....again went 5-for-5 with four RBI at Miami 3/26....hit two-run homer to give Tech the lead in the top of the ninth, then moved to the mound to get the save 3/27 at Miami....named ACC Player of the Week for 3/21 - 3/27....hit go-ahead three-run homer (audio)and later worked ninth inning to get save 4/15 vs. Florida State....went 4-for-4 with a home run and five RBI vs. Georgia 4/20....played for USA Baseball National Team during summer tour batting .273 with three home runs and nine RBI in 17 games.

Summer 2004: Participated in the All-American Baseball Game on June 7 at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque, N.M. as well as the SC/NC Challenge game on June 12 at Conway, S.C....Played for Carolina Diamond Devils claiming co-MVP honors at the 18-and-under Perfect Game/Wood World Bat Association Summer Championship during mid-July in Marietta after hitting .400 (10-for-25) while also recording two saves and showing a 94-mph fastball.

High School: A four-year letter-winner for coach John Chalus at Stratford High School as a catcher and pitcher....Rated as the No. 1 prospect in South Carolina and No. 60 in the nation....An all-America, all-state and all-region selection in 2004....Hit. 407 with seven home runs and 34 RBI as a senior....Tossed six inning no-hitter against defending state Class AAAA champion Summerville 3/10/04....Ranks in Stratford's career top 10 in RBI, walks, hits and total bases....On the mound, went 5-2 with a 2.76 ERA, recording 72 strikeouts in 51 innings....Ranked No. 32 among pre-season Top 100 College and High School Prospects for the 2004 June Draft by Baseball America.
