Faulty Sword

There are many ways to worship God in Christ Jesus.

Some prefer a more or less thoughtful and meditative sitting and kneeling manner and style, while others are more athletically expressive with raising hands and swaying body motion.

Some prefer a routine and dependable consistent mantra of repetitious liturgy, while others prefer to wing it ad hoc with random creativity and non-memorized cutting-edge inventiveness.

There are Scriptural grounds for all of the above.

For the quiet and subdued yoga-like, Psalm 37:7 and 46:10 tells us to be still before the LORD and know that He is God. Job 33 verses 31 and 33 command us to be silent, and the Lord will speak. In Psalm 4:4 David tells us to be silent as we commune on our beds. Both Zephaniah 1:7 and Zechariah 2:13 order us to be silent before the LORD. Even demons are directed to be silent in Luke 4:35, and silence from others when one revelator at a time speaks in assembly is required according to I Corinthians 14:30.

In contrast, active bodily movement is also the will of God as befits the occasion. King David lifted up his hands to the LORD as recorded in Psalm 28:2, 63:4, and Psalm 134:2, even raised the cup of salvation in Psalm 116:13. Voices of song are lifted up in Psalm 68:4 plus Isaiah 24:14 and 40:9 and 52:8. Even an ensign flag is lifted up according to Isaiah 62:10. What is not desired - by inference - is anyone but the Lord lifting up skirts over the faces of women so their shame is seen, per Jeremiah 13:26 and Nahum 3:5. Limited-value exercise (I Timothy 4:8) plus a showing of gymnastic strength is desired in Hebrews 12:12.

Bowing down to God is indicated in II Kings 17:36, Psalm 22:29, 72:9, 86:9, 95:6, 97:7, 138:2, Isaiah 45:23, Zephaniah 2:11, Romans 14:11, Ephesians 3:14, and Philippians 2:10.
Bowing down to God's saints is indicated in Proverbs 14:19, Isaiah 45:14, 49:23, and 60:14 plus Revelation 3:9. Job 31:10 warns us, however, to not bow down upon our neighbor's wife!

Praise God with timbrel and dance, in accord with Psalm 150:4 and Jeremiah 31:4 and 13, because there is a time to dance, with respect to Ecclesiastes 3:4.

Esther fell at the feet of her husband King Ahasuerus as evidenced in Esther 8:3, and those petitioning Christ for the sick or worse fell at the feet of Jesus in Mark 5:22 and John 11:32.

Shouting to the Lord in praise of or for the Lord is found in Joshua 6:5 and 20, Judges 7:18, I Samuel 4:5, Ezra 3:11 & 13, Psalm 20:5, 32:11, 35:27, 47:1, 65:8 and 13, 71:23, 81:1, 132:9 and 16, Isaiah 12:6, 24:14, 42:11, 44:23, 48:20, Zephaniah 3:14, Zechariah 9:9, and Galatians 4:27.

Mantra-like liturgical repetition [over and over and over] of the phrase "for His steadfast love endures for ever" is found in Psalm 118 and 136....and yet we are also to imaginatively and creatively "Sing to the LORD a new song" in view of Psalm 33:3, 96:1, 98:1, 144:9, 149:1, Isaiah 42:10 plus Revelation 5:9 and 14:3.

So, there are many facets of The Same Divine Diamond to look at by different types of Christians - and they are ALL bonafide genuine Christians! ALL are valid, wholesome, and edifying expressions of reverent and legitimate worship! As I Corinthians 12:20 states: "There are many body parts, yet one body."

On the other hand, there are many insubordinate who are empty talkers and deceivers (Titus 1:10) some of whom are [clergy] "fathers" (Matthew 23:9 and I Corinthians 8:5) who have many concocted traditions of water-related and non-water-related purification they impose on others (Mark 7:4), which superficiality they burden people with (Matthew 23:4) as a suppresive and depressive humanly-connived form of religion (II Timothy 3:5).

However, there is ONE COMMON DENOMINATOR ALL living saints MUST follow to the letter......and that is: The Word of God.

I have encountered the immature babble of some who were either ignorant Christians seriously needing correction, or pseudo-"christians" who profess to know God but deny Him with their deeds (Titus 1:16), attempting to excuse themselves with mindless and errant irrationalizations such as: "One can get into heaven without memorizing nor knowing everything in the entire Bible. The simple gospel message is all that counts. That is what saves a person - not intensive academic study into irrelevant details. There is no need to sweat the small stuff. And it does not matter what translation one uses: all of them basically say the same thing and are sufficient to save those who choose not to become learned theologians or professors of the Bible in colleges or universities."

It is true that the penitent thief on the cross probably did not have nor have opportunity to obtain a theological degree before he entered Paradise according to Christ's promise. But, had he lived on, he would never have been able to instruct others (Romans 15:14 and I Corinthians 14:19) in the doctrines of Christ necessary for complete Christian living if he had not learned such himself.

Even though babes can utter perfect praise (Matthew 11:25 and 21:16 plus Luke 10:21), and we must receive the kingdom of God like a child (Mark 10:15 and Luke 18:17), I Corinthians 14:20 tells us that carnal babes of the flesh who should long for the pure spiritual milk as newborns cannot be addressed as mature people because they have not grown up yet to salvation (I Peter 2:2). "Every one who lives on milk is not skilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child" (Hebrews 5:13) with "childish" ways (I Corinthians 13:11). If we are to make disciples of all nations, teaching them to observe all that Christ commanded (Matthew 28:20), we have to know what that exactly all is! If one does not want to learn such doctrines of Christ, one does not deserve and should not expect God's elect to let them enter into the houses of those elect (II John 1:9-11), being that the deliberately-ignorant have rebelliously, proudly, and godlessly suppressed the truth (Romans 1:8) and told Bible teachers to not preach to them of such things (Micah 2:6).

The problem is compounded in that not only are the willfully-nonlearned incapable of winning others to Christ (that is: facilitating justification) and helping them grow (in sanctification).....but they are destined to go down themselves, either gradually, or dramatically all of a sudden. Every piece of "the whole armor of God" (Ephesians 6:13) is crucial (though not "critical") and vital....particularly: "the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God" (Ephesians 6:17). [More will be said of that spiritual sword later on].

Certain demonically crafty, masquerading as [pseudo]"christians," have then (so as to hatefully and maliciously deceive as many as they can to cause those who trust in them to stumble at the opportune time thus causing them as much harm and damage as possible) make up deviously-misworded "bible" translations - blasphemously mislabeling each "an accurate Holy Bible."

New-Testament apostles Peter and Paul did not support divisive divisions nor inclusion of heretics among the Lord's faithful for the sake of unity (Ephesians 4:3 and 13 plus I Peter 3:8) and being united only in Christ (I Corinthians 1:10) rather than clannishly and denominationally exclusionary (I Corinthians 1:12, 3:22-4:6), but the existence of such did "separate the sheep from the goats" (Matthew 25:32) as to clearly expose who was on the Lord's side and who was not. "There must be factions among you, in order that those who are genuine might be recongnized" (I Corinthians 11:19). Compared to the rock-solid stability of ancient-to-modern Hebrew and Greek lettering along with corresponding Hebrew and Greek words comprised thereof, our English language is continuously in a state of flux and is constantly changing. Hence, the discrepancies of the archaic-sounding King James semantics and even word meanings contrasted with up-to-date language of the more modern Revised Standard Version and other partially-accurate quasi-reliable translations even more recent.

That being said, I believe that for any given time at present, there is one best choice of each English word for the related Hebrew word of the Old Testament and Greek word of the New Testament. Note that I did not mention "interpretation," because for there to be correct interpretations, there must first be correct words to base those interpretations on. Keep in mind that "In the beginning was the Word" - NOT "the interpretation" (John 1:1)!

No Scripture [verse] is a matter of one's own origin nor interpretation (II Peter 1:20) anyway, which is a safeguard against those dishonest and deceitful misinterpreters who twist the Scriptures to their own destruction (II Peter 3:16), having tampered with God's Word (II Corinthians 4:2).

It is obvious that there has been much diabolical mischief snuck in (Jude 1:4) by imposters such as Westcott and Hort along with Nestle who have concocted corrupt NT Greek texts (such as the Byzantine types) nondeservingly [mis-]called "manuscripts" along with corrupt OT Hebrew text from ben Chayyim.

Many modern "bible" translations based their errors on the false Alexandrian texts such as the Vadicanus and Sinaticus. Fortunately, past scholars such as Erasmus, Luther, Beza, Elzevir, and Stephanus preserved and carried on The True Text along with what was superflous, in spite of apostates such as Marcion and Origen. In honest and well-researched faith, authentic living saints (who have truly committed themselves totally to God in complete surrender and submission and therefore are in fact actually possessed by the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ) discover and evaluate precisely what those really are, which necessitates some of the more knowledgeable of them returning to the one and only autographically-congruent inerrant and infallible ben Asher Masoretic Hebrew Text of the Old Testament (synthesized by Kittel) and the autographically-congruent inerrant and infallible Scrivener/Trinitarian Greek Text of the New Testament.

Not everyone can take the time to become a Scripture scholar pertaining to competent knowledge of and access to Hebrew and Greek manuscripts and translational expertise. However, "by their fruits you will know them" (Matthew 7:16,20) is a good standard to apply for those who do not have the opportunity to delve into detailed scholastic research but who earnestly want to know THE best and THE correct wording of the real Bible. We all (who are enlightened by the Holy Spirit who causes us to know everything in accord with I John 2:20) - to varying degrees - must trust those who we know (by enlightenment of the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ) honestly tell us precisely what each bonafide word of each Scripture verse should be and is.

Wolves in sheep's clothing (Matthew 7:15 and 10:16, Luke 10:3 and Acts 20:29) who sometimes are [clergy] wickedness in [ecclesiastical] heavenly places (Ephesians 3:10 and 6:12) might try to substitute or add (1) falsely-[mis]translated "bible" verses and/or (2) apocryphal references (to Sirach, Maccabees, Wisdom, Ecclesiasticus, Baruch, etc.).

By doing the former, they mis-equip themselves and others by engraining into the metal of that Sword of the Spirit an alloy of impurity weakening it to the extent that it cracks and breaks, or snaps, when doing mortal battle against Satan and/or his demons.

By doing the latter, they weld a needless extra weight on that Sword, causing delay against its agility and swiftness, resulting in devastating and tragic lethal consequences against the would-have-been soldier of Christ.
