After the War,
there was a flurry of attempts at creating a viable league structure in the
area. The first was the Kirkcudbrightshire League which wasn't actually
formed until March 1921. The St
Cuthbert Cup was once again put up for competition and despite the league’s
late start, all the fixtures were completed. The league was renamed the
Stewartry League for the 1921-22 season. As in the case of other attempts at
creating a viable league competition, cup competitions got in the way and
that championship was was abandoned, unfinished. |
