Southern
Counties Football League
Fourth
version 1921-1923

overview |
The Southern
Counties League was revived in 1921. Despite completing only half of their
fixtures in the Stewartry League, St Cuthbert Wanderers also competed.
Despite no club completing their fixtures, the title was awarded to
Mid-Annandale. And with their main rivals moving to other leagues in 1922-23,
Mids ran away with the title for a second successive time. The creation of
the Scottish League's Third Division in 1923, and the loss of four of the
region's strongest clubs to it, the Southern Counties League disbanded. |
