I am searching for information regarding the design, engineering, operations, and final disposition of the AMF monorail.

Did you work at the New York World's Fair?
Did you take any pictures or movies of the monorail at the Fair?
Do you have any memories of the AMF Monorail?
If so please drop me a line, AMFMonorail@yahoo.com !

The monorail cars were last seen in Hitchcock, Texas in 1997, stacked in a pile, next to Highway 6. They were moved sometime between summer of 1997 and July of 1998.

Car #4 has now been located near Alvin, Texas. I am still seeking information on other possible locations. There have been sightings in the Manvel and Santa Fe, Texas areas. Would anyone confirm this?

In January of 2000, I received a report that two cars were visited in 1996 at San Antonio, Texas. Does anyone have any further details?

If you know of their location please contact AMFMonorail@yahoo.com

Thank You!

I am also seeking information from anyone who is familiar with or worked at the AMF Wen-Mac Toy Division in California during the period when the AMF Monorail Jr. toy was produced, 1963-1965. The addresses of the two factory locations were 3617 Hayden Avenue, Culver City, California, and 11500 Tennessee Ave, Los Angeles, California.

Is anyone familiar with, or know someone who worked for the St. Louis Car Company in St. Louis, Missouri during the construction of the monorail cars? The work began on the first vehicle November 6, 1963 with the final car being completed on February 7, 1964. In addition, if anyone has copies of the blueprints, specifications, photos, memos, or would share their memories of the car's construction, would you please send a message to AMFMonorail@yahoo.com. Thank you!
