What is the Real Presence?

The Real Presence is the belief that the whole of Christ (body, blood, soul, and divinity) is truly, really and substantially present as the bread and wine of Holy Communion.

A Treasure Hidden in Plain Sight

The Real Presence is a hidden treasure, hiding in plain sight. It has always been taught by the Catholic Church, but seems like today few people believe in it. (If you could be in Jesus' physical presence, wouldn't you go across town to see him?) If people only knew about the abundant evidence for the Real Presence, it would transform how they experience the Mass, it would transform who they are.

The discovery of the Real Presence in my life transformed attending Mass for me. When I was a kid I utilized a bathroom trip, every Sunday, to escape my boredom. These days when my schedule permits, I look forward to Mass every day. I often pray there that I may receive Him well, and carry Him well with me back into the world. And when I receive Him well I am at my best. He makes me a better man.

I hope you too will discover the Real Presence--the hidden treasure, hiding in plain sight.
