Current Buns has a gossip with our favourite Anglia forecaster (except for Jim Bacon..)

Where are you from?
“Very complicated answer - I was born in Yorkshire but grew up in
Pittsburgh Pennsylvania in the USA. I came back to England for A Levels and
University, but as my parents still live in America I consider myself
half/half.”

Age? (very optional!!!)
“I've never had qualms about answering age questions - I'm 28!”

Earliest memory?
“Going to a leisure centre with wave pool in Yorkshire when I was about 3 or 4.”

Favourite place?
“At home with my husband.”

Favourite music?
“I run the gamut from Kate Bush to Nirvana via Beethoven and Dmitri from Paris - very eclectic!”

Any special qualifications/achievements that you're proud of?
“My sister and I have "scholastic achievement certificates" signed by
the then President of the United States Ronald Reagan! I can't remember why though...”

First job?
"In broadcasting - freelance reporter BBC Radio Cornwall. In life -
Saturday girl at The Sweater Shop (when it was very popular I promise)”

Best job?
“The one I have now by a long, long way.”

Dream job?
“Reporter for Holiday (because no-one ever says that right?)”

How did you get started in doing what you do?
“I'm a journalist but I was becoming bored with news and had a genuine interest in weather so did some meteorology training and moved across to
weather (many people said I was mad though).”

How long ago?
“Two years”

Where would you have been seen or heard since you started broadcasting?
“In no particular order - any BBC local radio station you care to
mention just about, Trent FM, 5Live, BBC News 24, IRN, Channel 5 News, ITN
News Channel, BBC Look East, Anglia TV, BBC Liquid News and who could
forget Rotherham District General Hospital's Radio Nightingale!?”

Best on-air moment?
“Oh hundreds but managing to get Mission Impossible 2 actor Dougray
Scott to talk to me live on Anglia after he'd turned absolutely everyone down - with only about 6 seconds to spare stands out - I was on a knife edge between disaster and success!”

Worst on-air moment (embarrassing or otherwise)?
“Reading a news bulletin once the gallery broke down and I had to fill for 6 minutes.
