Where are you from?
"I was born in Kent, but moved to the Lake District when I was 2, so I
regard myself as an honorary Northerner."

Earliest memory?
"Eating chips somewhere in the Lakes - it's a northern thing!"

Favourite place?
"West 14th Street New York, great bars, lovely shops and a great place
that sells cornish pastys."

Favourite music?
"Indie, Rock and a smattering of cheesy pop when I've had too many white wines!"

Any special qualifications/achievements that you're proud of?
"My degree, which isn't in Media Studies ... it's in Theatre Studies -
which is so much better!! But hey I did get a 2:1."

First job?
"Bar Maid, travel co-ordinator at BBC Radio Cumbria.."

Best job?
"Capital's Party in the Park is going to take some beating as does the
GMTV gig!!"

Dream job?
"I fancy doing a Drivetime show at some point and I've always wanted to
do Saturday evening TV on BBC1 - but not the bird on the lottery
though!"

How did you get started in doing what you do?
"I virtually lived in Warwick University's student radio station and
worked at BBC CWR (Coventry and Warwickshire) in my spare time. My serious anoracking paid off and I ended up presenting CWR's youth show "PDQ", Saturday Breakfast and Drivetime."

Where would you have been seen or heard since you
started broadcasting?
"I've been around a bit! You might have heard me on Five Live, Radio 1,
Capital, Heart 106.2, Kiss 100. TV: GMTV, BBC Three, Living tv and
various shows on ITV1, Channel 5, Channel 4 and Sky One,"

Best on-air moment?
"Managing to present "After Hours" my Capital Late Show after a few
toxic lemonades at the Capital Awards that afternoon. They said I'd slur but being the consumate professional I am I didn't!"

Worst on-air moment (embarrassing or otherwise)?
"Most embarrassing was the time I covered Capital Drive for Foxy. He
started the show with "Foxy's 4 Play" with the show starting at 4 and that! But he came up with something new for me. So there I am sat in the studio when Martin Collins announces I'll be kicking off with "Hopper's Whoppers - Rachael gets her hits out for London". The PD nearly had a seizure."
