1870 CENSUS OF GUNN FAMILIES

1.July 26th 1870 Bellefonte District, Nottoway Page 100. The 145th family was Lucy J. Gunn, a 43 year old female with $2000 in real estate and $200 in personal property. Edwin WM farm laborer age 18; Sarah WF at school age 15, Rosa WF at school age 11, James at home age 7, Lucy age 4 at home.



2.6th of August, Wellville PO, Bellefonte Township, Nottoway. William B. Gunn, age 58 a farmer with $1200 in Real estate, $400 in personal property. Household; Mary age 49 keeping house, Adalina age 30 no occupation, Salvala age 18 farm laborer, Josephine age 16 at home, John age 24 farm laborer, the 359th family counted



3.The 360th family counted. Levy Gunn age 25 farm laborer with $1000 in personal property no real estate listed. Lou A, age 22 keeping house



4.29th July 1870. Wellville PO, Nottoway County. Spence E. Gunn age 50 (possibly 56 or 58 copy hard to read) the 277th dwelling 297 family counted. $200 in personal property. Sally age 52 keeping house, and Millicent Williams age 35 no occupation (could be Maria Williams but is hard to read)



5.July 21th 1870. Dinwiddie County. Albert Hall 59 a carpenter, Eliza Hall age 50, Susan age 14, at home, Ellen age 11 at home. Laura J. Gunn age 19 at home, Charles T. Gunn male age 2, at home.



6.July 8th 1870 Dinwiddie County. J. W. Gunn age 46, a farmer with $1720 in real estate and $100 in personal property: Household: Olive age 26 keeping house, Ella E. age 13 at school, Cresa Williams a 17 year old black female farm laborer and Peter Williams a 14 year old black male farm laborer.



7.August 8th 1870. Dinwiddie Courthouse District, Dinwiddie - E. P. Wells age 50 a farmer with $1800 in real estate and $500 in personal property Household: Sarah age 48 keeping house, Willis P. age 11 male at school, Edwin age 11 male at school, Sally Gunn 15 female at school, James Gunn male age 12 at school, Burrel Gunn, male age 10, Mary S. Gunn female age 72 at home. Lucinda Crowley 18 black servant.
