Mary S. Gunn
Mary S. Gunn was the youngest of the four children born to Freeman James Gunn and Maria Bridgforth. She appeared in two census records, and what information known about Mary comes from this source.   Much research needs to be done to see if she married and had children, which I think is likely.

On August 21, 1850 Mary S. Gunn age 16, was living in her parent's home in Brunswick County, Virginia.   Freeman and Maria had their son Samuel, his wife Martha, and grandson living in the home also.

On July 21, 1860 Mary S. Gunn age 25 had moved with her father and mother to Nottoway County, Virginia and appeared in the census household.   Several researchers have looked for a Will for Mary's father and mother, but one has never been found.  Mary's  mother Maria died after 1870 but before 1880,  and it has been assumed her father died between 1860-1870. Mary S. Gunn would have still been a young woman, and likely married, unless she died.  ; It is reasonable to assume she would have appeared in one of her brother's household in later census records, had she remained single.
