Cool Summer Drinks

Sangria

The Fruit
Ingredients:
1)    2 Oranges - peeled and diced
2)    2 Apples - diced but not peeled
3)    2 Limes - peeled and diced
4)    Cup of Maraschino Cherries - diced

Preparation:
Combine all of the following in a covered container.

The Drink
Ingredients:
1)   Bottle of Cabernet
2)   3 1/2 oz. Simple Syrup
3)   3 1/2 oz. Orange Juice
4)   1 1/4 oz. Brandy
5)   1 1/4 oz. Triple Sec
6)   The Fruit mix

Preparation:
In a pitcher stir in the above ingredients.


Lavender Cucumber Mojito

Ingredients:
1)   1 1/2 oz. Rum
2)   8 Mint Leaves and Sprig
3)   ½ Lime
4)   2 tbs. Simple Syrup
5)   Club Soda
6)   ½ Cucumber
7)   dried Lavender
8)   Lavender Flower

Preparation:
1)   Muddle mint leaves and lime in a tall glass.
2)   Cover with simple syrup and fill glass with ice.
3)   Add rum and club soda.
4)   Top with cucumber slices and lavender.
5)   Stir well or shake.
6)   Garnish with spiraled cucumber or lavender flower.


Watermelon Margarita

Ingredients:
1)   1 cup Cubed seeded Watermelon
2_   Sliced Watermelon
3)   1 1/4 oz. Tequila
4)   1/4 oz. Triple Sec
5)   fresh Lime Juice
6)   Sugar

Preparation:
1)   Blend watermelon until pureed.
2)   Fill shaker with ice and add tequila, triple sec, lime juice, top with watermelon puree.
3)   Shake or stir until blended.
4)   Rub lime wedge around glass rim and dip rim onto a sugared plate.
5)   Strain and pour.


Southern Mint Julep

Ingredients:
1)   1 1/2 oz. of small batch quality Bourbon
2)   6 Mint Leaves and Sprig
3)   1 tbs. Simple Syrup
4)   crushed Ice
5)   fresh Mint Sprig

Preparation:
1)   Fill glass or Julep cup with crushed ice.
2)   Add mint and syrup (if possible infuse the 2 ingredients in a jar overnight, refrigerated).
3)   Add Bourbon.
4)   Stir Rapidly and garnish with fresh sprig.
