Dr. Robin Alter NDP Other: I am a practicing clinical psychologist working both for children's mental health and in the private sector. Especially in my work as a consultant to children's mental health, I have worked with many families who have adopted children and many children who have been adopted and understand the issues that affect their lives. with contact vetoes with contact vetoes Howard Hampton, the NDP and I, Robin Alter would move quickly to pass the Adoption Disclosure Statue Law Amendment Act, developed and chamioned by NDP MPP Marilyn Churley to improve access to records for adoptees and birth parents. The NDP would also increase fudning for front-line workers in public adoption-related services, and we would review the legislation regarding crown wards to ensure that as many children can be moved to permanent family situations as soon as possible. We would also review the supports provided to families for adoption-related expenses. We would also support the child advocate in publishing an annual report and speaking out on behalf of children in care, inlcuidng making recommendations about how to move children into permanent stable families.
Mark Viitala Green Party none with contact vetoes with contact vetoes logic seems to dictate that both would have to agree to want the disclosure
