This issue is of crucial importance to many people in Etobicoke-Lakeshore, and I believe that in the majority of cases, both adult adoptees and birth parents who have given their children up for adoption should be allowed access to their records. As you may be aware, there have been several private members’ bills pertaining to this issue introduced in the legislature, and Ontario Liberal Leader Dalton McGuinty voted in favour of the proposed changes to adoption disclosure procedures.
