Julian Heller NDP none with contact vetoes with contact vetoes As you may be aware the NDP attempted to rectify this injustice of sealed adoption records under legislation brought forward by Mr. Tony Martin MPP in 1995.

Please keep up your efforts.

Carol Leborg Freedom Party none     I think I would want the birth father/mother or both to agree to disclosure before the adoptee is given the information.

I think I would want the adoptee to agree to disclosure before the parents is given the information.

If my answers seem contradictory, it's because my answer depends on who initiated the request. If the birth parents, the adoptee has to agree to the request before any information is given. If the adoptee, the birth parents have to agree to the request before any information is given. Both parties must agree before any information is given.

In the case of medical requirements, I don't see why the birth parents couldn't be asked to release medical information pertaining to the history of any particular illness without having to disclose their identity.
