This issue is very difficult and sensitive. I believe that the rights of the child who was given up by the parent/s should be given priority over those of the parent/s who gave them up. While the choice to give up the child may not always have been at their complete control, it was still a choice they made. Once that choice is made, they may regret it years later or just simply want to contact that child to explain why the decision was made but they must be prepared for the possibility of rejection. |
