Students have just finished their work on "illuminating" Shakespeare's sonnets. Teeth-grinding patience was needed as Microsoft's PowerPoint was wrastled to the ground. Borrowing from Mr. Scotese's ideas on using PowerPoint to illustrate the words of the sonnet to unlock their meaning, I worked for 2 weeks with my students to "illuminate" twelve sonnets chosen at random. See what happened!

I spent most of my time here at the Teaching Shakespeare Summer Institute working with amazing people, creating lesson plans, and reading really old books. What an intense, wonderful month!
