He is endlessly optomistic and there is virtually nothing that will get his spirits down. He is afraid of the dark and only goes out at night if he is with Caith or someone else, and he seems to think there are monsters waiting to pounce on him in the shadows. Bond: None

Nobody, least of all Hyacinth, had expected her to lay a clutch after her first flight. After all, she had been training with firestone since weyrlinghood, so why should she have expected to get pregnant? Nevertheless, it was soon clear that Hyacinth was going to lay a clutch, and, apart from upping her firestone dose after laying, there was nothing they could do about it. It was a small clutch, only five eggs, and by hatching time only two of them actually hatched. The resulting dragons were a blue and a green, named Alderanth and Caith, respectively. Neither of them Impressed, but though they had no riders, the two siblings were close enough that they were half-considered bonded themselves. The twins, as they came to be called (though they hadn't hatched from the same egg), grew quickly and despite their smaller-than-average eggs, were at the high end of the length scale for their colors by the time they had reached adulthood. Alderanth and Caith were each other's best friend. They went everywhere together, did everything together, and there were some sly looks around mating time, though they never showed any interest in each other that way. Aside from each other, though, the two of them were quite outgoing and had lots of other friends. Sooner or later, of course, the subject of bonding came up, and they mutually decided that they wanted to bond dragons rather than humans. The only problem was where. They had no interest in Darkling Dawn's clutches, and besides, standing for a clutch was an excuse for a vacation. It was no fun waiting at home for a clutch to hatch. They had a wealth of places in the Nexus to choose from, too. It seemed there was never a lack of eggs. Starburst, Lantessama, the Abstract Destiny, Ryslen, it was almost impossible to decide. Oh, for Faranth's sake, Hyacinth (always a traditional Pernese green) finally said, Flip a coin or something if you can't decide. ...What do you think, Caith? That could actually work... It took a lengthy process of elimation, but the dice said Nidus Ryslen, so off they went!
