Mrs. Rowling
Homework
is assigned and corrected on a daily basis.
All work must be completed in pencil.
Tests are given approximately every two weeks.
Quizzes will be sporadic. Progress reports will be sent home
with
students after the completion of tests for a signature.
Progress reports must be signed by Mom, Dad,
or Guardian and returned by the next school day for credit. This is so the parent is aware at all times
of the students’ progress. *Individuals
talking during a test/quiz, regardless of content will receive a verbal
warning
(1st offense). Individuals talking during a test/quiz,
regardless of
content will receive a zero & parent/guardian will be notified (2nd
offense) if the 3rd offense occurs the student will fail the
course. Bonus questions on tests are
only given on original day of test.
Individuals that miss test day will take the test on the next
consecutive school day. Individuals
that miss review day are still required to take the test.
However, if a student misses a day during
the week a test is given, the student then has the option to wait a day
to take
the test but must notify teacher in writing prior to test day. TI-84 plus Calculators will be used
frequently in this classroom. A student
may wish to have their own calculator, however a calculator will be
available
for students to checkout on a daily basis after school.
Calculators need to be returned before 1st
period of the next consecutive school day.
Students who fail to abide to these conditions will be revoked
of
calculator privileges. Students who
damage, or lose calculators will be assigned a replacement fee to be
paid in
order to retain transcripts. Any
assignment turned in late is only worth half credit.
Students in school activities must get the homework assignment
in
advanced and work problems out to the best of their ability, however
will not
have to turn in for a grade until next consecutive school day. If not it is considered late.
All students are required to take Semester/Final
tests. The weekly schedule of events
for class, subject to change, is posted on the Butte High School web
site. Parents wishing to contact the
teacher may
do so via voicemail system at the following phone number:

I will return your phone call as soon as possible.

I
