SOMETHING NEW! AMCautochat at talkcity at the
bottom of this page!
The 38 foot '67 GMC bus below the Fairlane and
the other old bus is mine, but it's going to the
scrap yard if I don't sell it soon. Only $1500 and it
runs great! It also includes (not installed) hot
water tank, furnace, bathtub, full size gas
oven (from a house) sheet metal to cover in the
old windows and good radial 22.5" tires (no
recaps!){I wouldn't mind putting something this
tall on my Jeep!}.
I like AMC
Eagles and making modifications to them when I
have time. I was planning to put a Grande
Cherokee 5.2 Litre (fuel injected) motor,
automatic overdrive transmission and
transfercase into my '83 Eagle wagon but money
ran out. I'm putting in a good used 4.2L 6
cylinder, which should make a big difference
from the tired 4.0L that was in it (with the
head and carb off the original 4.2L it came
with when the previous owner took the 4.2
bottom end for his 89 Jeep Cherokee and sold me
the car in the top picture).
I'm
selling
my 66 Ford Fairlane 500 2dr hard top for
$2500.oo.
It's got a 200 HP 289
cu.in /3
speed std (I now have an auto tranny I'm going
to put in) with PS/PB, disc brakes from an '80
Granada, PST suspension with an 1.25" swaybar
and all new balljoints, tierods, etc, in the
frontend. I've been anxious to finish it so I
can see how fast it is in the 1/4 mile, since
it only has 75,000 original miles. I had to
recover the seats because someone spilled oil
on the white cloth originals.(UPDATE: I'm
selling the newly recovered seats and putting
in black ones from my 4 dr 66 Fairlane parts
car unless someone buys the car soon) When it's
finished it should look real sharp with
fire-engine red exterior with a black carpet
and parchment white interior (original colors
except the carpet).(UPDATE JULY '98: I got my
round tuit and the pictures are posted!) (
ANOTHER UPDATE Sept '98!: I now have webtv+ and
I can post as many pictures as I want without
going to Kinko's! All I have to do is figure
out why they come out stretched like a limo!)
My 66 Ford Fairlane
Wow, is this bus below something

Hopefully I'll be able to fix this
scan (done with webtv+)
I have two buses too many and car projects
on
the go, so something has to go!
But anyway, back to the '83 Eagle. I'm in the
Seattle area and I'm looking for an AMC 727
trans core (4x4) and a 219 transfer case. Got
1? drop me a line.(UPDATE June 98: I now own an
83 Wagoneer, and I have the tranfercase I
wanted, but I'm still looking for a 727 trans
core to fit a Jeep 6, V8 or an International
258) {Update June 15/98 I now have the tranny I
need!}{DANG! I have an NP219
transfercase but I need an output shaft for the
727 cause it's out of a Javelin!}
