Why I've stopped wrestling
Now, I know that some people have been wondering why I quit actual wrestling. I am still in EJW, doing other stuff than performing ring, such as doing commentary, camera work, and behind the scenes work. The real question is why quit all of a sudden? Here's why...
Earlier that day, Tim, Rus, and I were desperately trying to write a new show, because Brock had quit, Andrew was no where to be found, and Maltese had no-showed because of personal reasons. As we were debating this show, I simply said, "I gotta go, I'll see ya tonite!", and with that, I went off to think to myself. As I was thinking, I remembered the first show( Me, Tim, Rus, and Danny), and how much FUN we had. Thats why we started this, for fun. In October of 1999, I had this crazy idea of how i wanted to start my own league. Before this, we had a shoot wrestling league, but I felt it was missing something. I wanted to organize matches, do actual moves to each other, and i wanted to cut interviews. At the same time oddly enough, Rus had the same idea, as did Tim, so we decided to begin a fed, called the Junior Extreme Wrestling. But, because we figured people would get pissed if we called ourselves the J.E.W., so we changed it to the EJW. We recruited Andrew as Enigma, and Maltese as the Green Reefer. We had our third show, and first PPV(if you wanna call it that) Live and Low Budget. Let me tell you, our characters were rough around the edges, we werent that good, and we couldnt even tape the whole thing cause the battery died, but I had so much FUN. Fast Forward to now, the day of the June show. I'm at the EJW arena(Tims backyard), and it was during the Nate/KJ is when I realized "I'm not having fun anymore", and I was just going through the motions. About 5 minutes later, I busted my mouth open from The Cookie Sheet Splash Special(the first time someone actually did get busted open for real). Now, I was supposed to lose the Career Match, and come back at a later date, but now, Im actually done. I will not be wrestling another match forever, or until I wanna enter wrestling school. I still love wrestling, and thats why I'm still in the fed. I like what I'm doing now, and having fun booking with Rus and Tim. I know this column breaks kayfabe or whatever, but I felt it had to be addressed. THIS IS WHY I QUIT, not because I got hurt. If you hear different, than that person is wrong. This was the determining factor, not having blood pouring out of my mouth for a day. I kept on wrestling because these guys are my friends, and I didn't wanna let them down, but i Quit for me, and I'll stay this way for me, and I wrote this column for me, and if they don't like it, tough.
