Merry Christmas

Thank you for stopping in! Now that you're here we'd like to tell you
a little about us.......

As you can see we LOVE Pooh!

He's our FAVORITE!

Now we'll tell you a little bit about each of us....

GREGORY

Gregory was born at 34.5 weeks after Premature Rupture of Membranes (PROM). He had type ABO jaundice, which responded well to phototherapy. Hypertonia of left hand/arm, which resolved totally and some sensory integration issues. Today, Gregory is on the small, wiry side, wears glasses for reading and has no

apparent side effects from his early beginning.

He is a "Saturday Scholar" (program through school for high achievers) and an avid reader. He plays team soccer year-round. He loves "Bill Nye the Science Guy," and anything to do with the computer. He enjoyed visiting his brother Colin in the NICU and could tell you specific details about much of the equipment used to support his baby brother as well as what was wrong with his mom's placenta! He assisted mom with Colin's apnea monitor and helps with the nebulizer. Gregory is mature beyond his years and is our special

BIG BOY!

CAROLINE

Born at 36.6 weeks. She was breech from month six of pregnancy in a transverse lie position. Not fully knowing the reason for Gregory's early arrival, mom was ordered onto Level 1 bedrest in

her third trimester.

Caroline was born with dislocated hips (common to breech-
positioned babies) and was in a cast-like splint (pavlok harness) for three months. Treatment worked beautifully and you'd never know she had a hip problem by watching her run around, climb trees and play with and keep up with her big brother.

Caroline will be three this summer (99') and will attend preschool two mornings a week. In October of 1998, Caroline underwent surgery for divergent strabismus. This was done after a year plus of patching and "eye exercises" proved futile. The surgery was successful and Caroline bounced back rapidly - more so than her parents, who were basket cases! Caroline is our sweet little girl, who loves everyone. She's a "people-person" who is.......

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!

COLIN

Precious Colin

Was born weighing 1 pound 10 ounces at 24.2 weeks due to placenta previa that turned to chronic abruption in week 14. After

a 127-day NICU stay, Colin finally came home!

His NICU course consisted of 5 weeks on the ventilator, and additional 7 weeks on oxygen, hernia repair surgery, feeding difficulties, which contributed several weeks to his stay and prolonged high blood pressure. Colin suffered a "Vitreous Hemorrhage," which left him with limited vision in his left eye.
