Blair and Bush lie about Islam - desperate spin attempts to conceal the truth!

"Whoever kills a soul is like one who has killed the whole of mankind." That's what the Koran has to say about murder, according to Blair, Bush, tame Establishment Muslims and a horde of media commentators in the days since the World Trade Centre massacre.

Mr. Blair, in particular, claims to have gained a greater insight into the "Islamic mind" by studying the Koran, hence his ability to quote Surah 5, Ayat 32 with such assurance.

Which just shows what a lying piece of trash he is. True, the verse in question does contain those words, but it also contains a qualifying phrase which totally changes its meaning.

"… whoever kills a soul, not in retaliation for a soul or corruption in the land, is like one who has killed the whole of mankind; and whoever saves a live is like one who saves the lives of all mankind. Our messengers came to them with the clear proof; but afterwards many of them continued to commit excesses in the land."

So far from killing never being allowed, it is permitted under the law of "an eye for an eye" in the case of murder, or in the case of "corruption in the land."

Lest it be thought that this may only be a matter of concern for New Labour Paymaster Generals, the very next Ayat continues:

"Indeed, the punishment of those who fight Allah and His Messenger and go around corrupting the land is to be killed, crucified, have their hands and feet cut off on opposite sides, or to be banished from the land. That is a disgrace for them in this life, and in the life to come theirs will be a terrible punishment."

Which makes it all too clear that while the Koran teaches its followers to respect the sanctity of life of other good Muslims, those who "fight Allah and his Messenger (i.e. Muhammad)" should be killed and mutilated or banished. 5,000 individuals in the World Trade Centre got Option Number One, many of them almost to the letter.

The most cursory reading of the Koran makes it clear that, to a good Muslim, the commissions and omissions of key Western governments - particularly the USA and the UK - and of the assorted usurers and exploiters of the poor in the World Trade centre, do indeed qualify as anti-Allah and corrupting the land. The unfortunate cleaners and caterers seem to be written off as collateral damage.

So what's the truth, Tony? Either you haven't studied the Koran after all, in which case you're lying in an attempt to curry favour with Britain's three million angry Muslims. Or you have studied it and know what Surah 5, Ayat 32 and 33 really preach, in which case you're lying in an attempt to conceal from fifty million patient Britons the deadly danger posed by Islamic fundamentalism to our pluralist democracy.

If Blair's motivation is the former, he should consider the possibility that, far from pleasing devout Muslims by misquoting their Holy Book (which, to be fair, does also contain a number of very sensible and fair guidelines for creating a decent society), his act in deliberately "passing over a part of what is revealed to you" (Surah 11, Ayat 12) may actually give serious offence. For, as it is written in Surah 11, Ayat 18, "who is more perverse than he who invents lies about Allah?"

Indeed! But, there again, why should we expect a pathological liar to tell the truth about anything, even the wording of someone else's Holy Book?
