War Against Christmas and Our Christian Heritage.

Many Cities across our nation, are following the policies first implemented in Birmingham a few years ago (1998). Birmingham City Council abandoned the term Christmas to describe its programme of festive family events over the Christmas and New Year period, in favour of a more acceptable phrase of “Winterval”. Many believe the council officials are trying to take the Christ out of Christmas, and to make this holiday period more acceptable to the soon too be majority, non White non Ethnic Christian Population.

This war on Christmas is first step in the war against our Nation and People. This is because the War Against Christmas is not exclusively a religious phenomenon – it is a political and cultural phenomenon, aimed at the abolition of both England and Britain.

Where Birmingham leads the way, other Towns and Cities with ever increasing ethnic populations soon follow. Luton this year (2001) is refusing to celebrate Christmas in the Traditional Way. It even has the absurd policy of refusing to call Christmas Lights Christmas Lights, preferring instead the term winter celebration lanterns. The rational behind such a decision ? Once again is to avoid offending other Religious Groups. The crazy thing is that other Religions and Cultures are allowed, even encouraged to celebrate Dewale and Ramadam etc with out fear of offending the indigenous ethnic Christian population. For us to be offended or object to these alein celebrations would surly make us Evile White Racists

So what can we expect in an increasing Multicultural Britain as our European heritage is eroded? A clue can be found in how other countries approach these things:

Christmas Day, 1999 - Catholics in Nanguan Machi Village were arrested and fined the equivalent of 60-$120 for holding an illegal Christmas worship service in a vegetable shed.

Christmas Eve, 1999 - Three Catholic leaders and a 12 year old girl were detained in Liangzhuang Village, Hebei Province, and beaten with electric batons for holding an illegal Christmas Eve service. Injuries sustained caused the need for hospitalisation.

Louis Farrahkan, not trying to be ecumenical, said: "The true meaning of Christmas is heathen, vain, ignorant, backward, white pagan worship and idolatry." - November 16, 1994, Bethel AME Church, New Haven, CT.

In Saudi Arabia our ally in the war on terror during the Gulf War. Western Soldiers were forbidden from having Christmas trees and Christmas decorations.

Back here in the UK Sheikh Omar Bakri Mohammed  a well know Islamic fundamentalist frequently states as ISLAM increases its influence (aided by our political leaders) the war on Christmas will widened to the banning of all Christmas decorations from Islamic cities and towns. “But it Can't Happen Here. Can It?"

Next in the Culture Wars is the attack on Easter Celebration. Under the guise that the school year should be divided into six shorter terms of roughly equal length. This would bring exams forward to April and the summer break to the beginning of July, and would also mean abandoning the Easter break.

But "Easter is as important a holiday as Christmas”, Ian Bainbridge from the Christian Institute agrees there is a secret agenda to undermine Christianity.  "People are seeking to deny the fact that constitutionally and in terms of what people believe in, that a substantial majority of the country is Christian," he said. "There is a different agenda to further undermine our Christian heritage."

Like Christmas there should be no diminution in the importance of traditional holidays like Easter and it’s importance to our National Culture.

What’s next in the Culture Wars? This year the National Union of Teachers, The very people entrusted to bring up our next generation Claimed our National Anthem, Patriotic Songs, the Wearing of Union Hats and Christian Hymns are seen as too Christian, too Nationalistic and to Jingoistic especially as one NUT delegate said today’s “British” Children will come from schools with mixed groups, different faiths and such songs are totally inappropriate.

And what about the chorus teacher who was teaching the children the 'classic' Christmas song, 'Walking in the Winter Wonderland'.  She would not allow the children to sing the words 'Parson Brown' (Christian symbolism), but substituted the words 'happy clown'. Isn't that silly?
