Viotia Chamber established in 1958 and its objective is the promotion of the development of enterprises in Viotia County according to the national and European benefit. It is a compulsory, self-supporting union of physical and legal persons, exercising commercial activities in our county. It is a legal person of public law and subject to the suppressive managing supervision of the Ministry of Commerce (as concerns the legitimacy of our acts within the context of the autonomy we are granted).

Our Chamber is a vehicle of industrial and commercial enterprises of Viotia Prefecture . In its force are 8.113 members, commercial and industrial units, which occupy 28.500 employees.

Viotia Prefecture belongs to the Periphery of Sterea Ellada, neighboring with Pthiotida Prefecture, North, Evia Prefecture, East and Attica Prefecture, South. It extends in an area of 2.948 sq. km with a population of 134.108 people.

Its staff has a good experience about European Community aimed programs.Our Chamber has implemented a series of professional training seminars by use of resources derived from the European Social Fund in the context of issues like informatics, automation applications, automation safety, safety in work premises, enterprises; administration.

It has participated in the Industry Enterprising Program through Action "Technical assistance to Chambers and other branch agents".

It has participated in the Adapt Communal Initiative under the name "Ifestos" for facing the unemployment occurred in the Region of Viotia due to industrial changes.

Other Communal Initiative that our Chamber participates are "Employment - program Integra, Íow", "Mercure Tacis program" etc

Also, we have established a Center for supporting New Enterprises for all the Periphery of Sterea Hellas and we are ready to establish one other for EDI program in order to contribute to the development of electronic commerce.

Viotia Chamber has already a good experience, supporting its members to enter the new era of E.U. and a good knowledge about the goals of E.U. for the new economic and socio-economic reality. It acts as the main promoter of European Idea in Viotia region providing to its member's information, training and opportunities to act as modern European Enterprises. It has the experience of the implementation of professional training seminars, in an area where unemployment is the number one threat for young graduates' future.

The staff, the existing installations and the results they have since now, persuade that our Chamber is ready to help our local businessmen to face, with success, the challenge of the new globalized market.
