Horse-and-Buggy public education

Public education is trying to serve a space-age, cyber-technology, world-economy, population-exploded society with a horse-and-buggy teaching schedule.
Public schools' 180 six hour days equals one-half of one-quarter equals one-eighth a year.
Our multimillion-dollar schools staffed, equipped, and maintained, sit idle seven-eighths of a year.
