Caite and Shadow
Wonder-Working Liver Cookies
1 cup flour
1 cup cornmeal
1 teaspoon garlic powder
˝ cup wheat germ
1 pound raw beef liver
Put liver in a food processor or blender and liquefy.  Add to dry ingredients and mix well.  Spread dough on a well-greased jelly roll pan.  Dough is very stiff and will not run to cover the pan.  Sprinkle with cornmeal and bake 15-20 minutes at 350.  Cut into treat sized bits immediately upon removing from oven.  Cookies should be dry but not rock hard.  Store in an airtight container.  May also be frozen until ready to use.

"Turkey Log"
In a food processor chop:
3-6 cloves GARLIC
Add:
1 lb. raw ground meat (sausage, turkey, lean hamburger, etc)
and mix.
Add:
1-2 raw eggs
1 cup breadcrumbs (I like the seasoned kind!)
and mix.  Add more breadcrumbs, if necessary.  Dough should form into a ball easily, but not be too sticky.

Roll into a long tube shape, about 3" thick.

Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.  I turned the "log" to brown it on all sides.

Slice and allow to dry slightly.  Store in an air tight container for up to one week.  May be stored in freezer also.
