I got COCO for free because he was plucking so badly that there was blood on the perches in his cage. He was standing in a cafe but the owner started rebuilding and Coco did not fit in it anymore, so he had to move to the kitchen. We went to an avian specialist with him who anaesticed him, examined him, sexed him , removed all the rests of his plucked feathers, and gave him a collar. We gave him a mate : Harry our other grey, but they did not like each other, they just ignore each other. At the picture you see him with nearly all his feathers back, and this after 3 months time! He is still a plucker although not so bad as he was, he is only removing his tailfeathers., and his wings are nog yet complete, so he is not able to fly In 2004 we got a third grey called Beppie, all the three of them are in the outside aviray now.
