Division Camp 14-16th May 2004
We all went to camp south of Edinburgh for a weekend. Both our Guiders were there with Kim cooking the food and Jenny patching everyone up!
Have a look at the photos from camp, and the fun you can have with a flour tortilla! It was a great weekend and the sun shone the whole time. The theme was 'The Olympics' and we did loads of outdoor activities including building a shelter, lighting a fire and hoisting a flag. We had great fun toasting marshmallows round the camp fire and making that camp classic, Smores! mmmmmmm tasty...:0)Hope everyone had fun, if you didn't get a chance to go, there's another one coming up and Festival 2004, international camp. Division Camp 28th-30th May 2004
We were off to camp again this weekend, with a whole bunch of new campers. Our Guider Kim was First Aider, luckliy we had no emergencies! We had loads of fun doing our Olympics activities, the shelter building was loads of fun. It only rained once too. The campfire songs were cool, even though Kim forgot the words! And everyone was singing the songs the next day. We can't wait for the next one!

Festival 2004

Four Guides from our unit joined Festival 2004 at the National Scout Centre in Scotland at the beginning of August. This was a massive international camp with over 400 Guides and Scouts from all over the world, including Uganda, America, Sweden and Ukraine. We had an action packed week with activities from hillwalking to water sports to caving underground!

Our Guides were together on a subcamp called Up Helly Aa, named after a festival that takes place in the north of Scotland. Each subcamp was named after a Festival that happens all over the world. These included Christmas, Hogmanay, Thanksgiving, Oktoberfest, Diwali, Harvest, Rodeo and Mardi Gras. Our Guiders were camping with the Senior Section, celebrating the Peace Festival.

If activities during the day weren't enough we also enjoyed entertainment in the evening (after washing up of course!). We watched clowns, disco'd and ceilidh'd the night away. Here's some photos from the week, if you want to add some, let me know
