Three friends needed a fourth
for a Saturday round of golf, so they invited Tom, a new
neighbor.
"I'd love to, but I may be about 15 minutes late," Tom
said. Saturday, Tom shows up right on time, plays left-handed and
shoots an even-par 72. He's invited to play with the same group
the following week.
"Okay, but I may be about 15 minutes late," he says.
Once again he shows up right on time, but this time he plays
right-handed. Again he shoots an even par 72. Again he's invited
to play again the next week.
"I'll be here, but I may be about 15 minutes late," he
says.
As the foursome shares a round of drinks, one of Tom's new
friends asks why he plays left-handed sometimes and right-handed
other times.
"Well," Tom says. "When I get up, if my wife is
lying on her right side I play right-handed. If she's lying on
her left-side I play left-handed."
"What is she's lying on her back?"
"That's when I'm 15 minutes late."
