es, it's true! The Hot Rod Happenin' moved in 2005! And it was a blast! You're invited to the Ninth Invitational Hot Rod Happenin' in 2006 at it's new home in Old Town Florence, Oregon! Come, enjoy the celebration of the Best Beachin' Rod Run in America!

Unfortunately hidden agendas at times ruin a great destination.  After seven fantastic years, Hot Rod History came to a close in Seaside. And we moved it to Old Town Florence and everyone said it was the best! Join us in 2006 at the Best Beachin' Rod Run in America!

What's happenin'? A Early Arrival Hot Rodder Car Show/Party/Rodder's Slot Tournament at Three Rivers Casino on Thursday evening for those that want to come early and check out the sights of Florence, recognized as the "Top Retirement Community in the USA." Maybe catch a game of golf, Tour the Sand Dunes or do a little Beachcombin'. On Friday there'll be the Rhody Cruisers Host Club Poker Run to show you what Florence and the Central Oregon Coast has to offer in sights and excitement. On Friday Night, tradition continues with the TGIF Party in Old Town Florence where we relax and have fun, renew friendships and maybe win some prizes.

On Saturday & Sunday there'll be the Hot Rod Happenin' Show & Shine in Old Town Florence. It's a flashback to the past by the wharf with great grazing and shopping at some of the finest establishments on the Central Coast.  There will be over 60 classics picked for special awards including Steve's Auto Restorations "Steve's Super Seven" that includes a cool plaque and a stylin' and profilin' designer sweatshirt. Steve will also be hosting the "SAR Pro's Picks" that includes special designer trophies for "Best Beachin' Hot Rod," "Best Beachin' Custom," and "Best Beachin' Classy Cruzer!" During each day take advantage of the fun activities planned like the challenging Poker Walk and the Hot Rod Treasure Hunt through Old Town Florence. There'll be neat prizes including two mini-motorcycles and pedal race car for the winners and surprises along the way. Or you just may want to kick back and enjoy the ambiance of Florence and its many entertaining attractions. On Saturday night, join the Cool Cruze Parade of the Hot Rods in Old Town and maybe win the special "Coolest Cruzer" award, then the rest of the evening enjoy the best of Old Town Florence at participating host establishments.There's sure to be fun for you and your friends at the September in Florence Hot Rod Happenin!
